lemlist vs Waalaxy (2026): Which Outreach Tool to Pick?

This comparison isn’t sponsored by lemlist or Waalaxy. The links to both tools are affiliate links: if you sign up through them I may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. It never changes my verdict.

If you’re trying to decide between lemlist and Waalaxy, I’ve spent the last few months using both: sending real campaigns through each platform and making full step-by-step tutorials for both. So I know where each one shines and where each one falls short.

Here’s what most comparisons get wrong. From the outside, lemlist and Waalaxy look like they do the same thing: cold outreach. Once you actually use them, you realize they’re not really competing for the same person. Below you’ll find what each one does well, where it falls short, and what lemlist actually cost me to run each month once domains, mailboxes and credits were added, not just the price on the website. Both tools come with a 30-day free trial through my links to lemlist and Waalaxy, instead of the usual 14 days.

Quick answer

lemlist is a full multichannel outreach platform; Waalaxy is LinkedIn-first. If LinkedIn is your main channel and email is a small bonus, pick Waalaxy. If you want real outreach across email, LinkedIn, calls and SMS in one sequence, lemlist is the only one of the two that can do it.

  • Best for LinkedIn-only outreach: Waalaxy
  • Best for multichannel outreach: lemlist
  • Best for cold email deliverability: lemlist (warm-up included)
  • Fastest to set up and cheaper to run: Waalaxy

The core difference: multichannel vs LinkedIn-first

This alone decides it for a lot of people.

  • lemlist is a full multichannel outreach platform. You can run email, LinkedIn, calls and SMS from one place, in the same sequence, with conditional steps between them. WhatsApp is available as an add-on.
  • Waalaxy is LinkedIn-first. It does LinkedIn really well, and you can add cold email as a supporting channel, but that’s the extent of it. There’s no calling, no SMS and no WhatsApp.

Everything else in this comparison flows from that one difference.

Channels and sequences

Even on LinkedIn alone, the two tools give you very different toolkits.

Waalaxy: the LinkedIn basics, done well

Waalaxy’s LinkedIn steps are the basics: visit a profile, follow, send an invitation and send a message, plus an email finder and an email step, and a CRM sync. That covers standard LinkedIn outreach.

What it doesn’t have is real branching. You get wait steps to control how long the sequence pauses, and conditions like “invitation accepted” or “replied”, but no option to say: if they didn’t accept the invite, send them an email instead or reach out on another channel. If someone doesn’t accept within the number of days your sequence allows, they simply leave the campaign. That isn’t really a knock on Waalaxy; it’s how a LinkedIn-first tool is built. With no calls, SMS or WhatsApp in the platform, there’s nowhere else to send them.

lemlist: more steps and real branching

lemlist gives you all of Waalaxy’s LinkedIn steps, plus voice messages, liking the lead’s last post, endorsing a skill, commenting on their last post and withdrawing invitations. That gives you more ways to show up on someone’s radar before you pitch them.

The bigger difference is conditional branching. You can split a sequence based on whether they accepted your invite, opened your LinkedIn message, booked a meeting, or have an email address or phone number, and more. So if someone doesn’t accept your invitation, you can still reach them by email, SMS, WhatsApp or a call, instead of losing them.

Deliverability and warm-up

This is the section that matters most if email is part of your outreach.

lemlist has lemwarm, its own warm-up tool, which has been around longer than most on the market. It runs in the background and keeps your inboxes healthy, so your emails land in the inbox. In my own testing I sent hundreds of emails through lemlist and got exactly one bounce. On paid lemlist plans, warm-up is included, so you don’t pay extra per mailbox.

One thing to know: during my trial the warm-up wasn’t active, so warming up an inbox before being on a paid plan meant paying for lemwarm separately, about €35 per mailbox per month at the time. Once you’re on a paid plan it’s included, so if you see that charge during your trial, you can stop it when the trial ends.

Waalaxy has no built-in warm-up. To send cold email through Waalaxy and have it land, you need a separate warm-up tool alongside it, like Warmy or Mailwarm. That’s extra setup, extra cost and one more thing to manage. Waalaxy has said it plans to build warm-up in, but for now it’s a separate tool. If email matters to you, this is a real point in lemlist’s favor.

Lead sourcing and intent signals

Both tools give you plenty of ways to get leads in, and they overlap on most of the basics.

  • Waalaxy imports from a LinkedIn search, Sales Navigator, a CSV file, a LinkedIn group or a LinkedIn event. Its built-in email finder pulls emails for the LinkedIn profiles you import, and honestly, it works decently well.
  • lemlist imports from a LinkedIn search with its Chrome extension, a CSV file or manual entry, and syncs directly with HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive.

On top of that, lemlist has two things Waalaxy doesn’t:

  • A built-in B2B database with more than 650 million contacts. Filter by job title, industry, country, company size and more, then push the matches straight into a campaign. In my testing, lemlist’s database produced better and more accurate emails than Waalaxy’s email finder. lemlist also flags risky or undeliverable emails before you send, so you can filter them out and protect your sender reputation. That’s how I ended up with one bounce across hundreds of emails.
  • Intent signals. Set up a watch list for things like a new hire in a specific department, a company raising funding or someone visiting your website. When someone matches, they’re pushed into a campaign automatically, or a task is created to reach out manually. Reaching out right after someone changed jobs or got funded converts far better than blasting a cold list, and it’s one of lemlist’s strongest features. Note that signals are now a paid add-on rather than part of the plan: about €29 per month for 100 signals on monthly billing.

AI features

Both tools have AI message writers built in.

Waalaxy’s AI is fast and easy. Fill in your target, value proposition and call to action, hit generate, and it writes the message. The messages sound like something a real person would send, and if you just want a campaign running quickly, it’s hard to beat.

lemlist’s AI goes deeper. You can train it on your business and ideal customer first, so it knows what you’re selling when it writes or improves messages. It can also add spin variations throughout your emails to help deliverability, which would take forever by hand. And it can enrich your leads with custom AI columns, like a pain-points analysis or a personalized icebreaker based on the company description, which you then use as variables in your messages.

One honest caveat: the more complex enrichment is unreliable. Columns like “find the latest company news” often come back with nothing useful. The simpler columns work great.

Unified inbox

lemlist’s unified inbox catches replies from every channel: email, LinkedIn, SMS and calls, all in one place. You can filter, tag, set follow-up reminders and reply in whichever channel makes sense. If you run multichannel outreach, this alone saves hours every week.

Waalaxy’s inbox handles your LinkedIn conversations across all your connected LinkedIn accounts, and it’s honestly one of the better LinkedIn inbox experiences out there. The free version is capped (500 conversations when I tested it), and unlimited is an add-on of about €20 per user per month. To manage email replies in Waalaxy too, you need the Business plan, since cold email is only included there.

Setup time

Waalaxy is fast to set up. You can have a campaign running within an hour of signing up: connect LinkedIn, install the Chrome extension, import some leads, build the sequence and hit start.

lemlist takes longer. You buy domains, set up mailboxes, configure your DNS records like DKIM, warm up your email, connect LinkedIn and optionally set up a phone number. Because of the warm-up, it takes a couple of weeks before you’re sending at full speed.

Waalaxy is fast because it does less. lemlist is slower because it’s a more complete system. Neither is wrong; it depends on what you need.

Pricing: what you’ll actually pay

The prices on both websites don’t tell the whole story, so here are the list prices first, then what it really costs to run each one.

PlanMonthly billingWhat you get
lemlist Email€69/moEmail outreach with lemwarm, no LinkedIn
lemlist Multichannel€109/user/moEmail, LinkedIn, calls and SMS, lemwarm, 400 credits per user
Waalaxy Pro€19/user/mo300 LinkedIn invites per month, CRM integrations
Waalaxy Advanced€49/user/mo800 LinkedIn invites per month, integrations, API
Waalaxy Business€69/user/moAdds cold email sequences and 500 email finder credits per month

Checked on October 6, 2026. Both tools are cheaper billed yearly: lemlist by about 20% (Multichannel is €87 per user), Waalaxy by up to 50%. Add-ons aren’t included in these prices. Check current prices before you buy.

What lemlist really cost me. When I ran full multichannel outreach, my monthly bill came to about €150: the Multichannel plan, a domain at about €1 a month spread over the year, two Google mailboxes at about €20 a month in total, and enrichment credits at about €30 a month for around 100 leads. Warm-up cost nothing extra on the paid plan. Since then the Multichannel plan has gone up to €109 on monthly billing, so budget a little more. And it scales: enriching 500 leads a month with both email and phone number runs to well over €100 a month in credits.

What Waalaxy really costs. For LinkedIn-only outreach, Advanced gets you 800 invites a month with integrations, and that’s often all you need. Add cold email and you move to Business, plus a separate warm-up tool’s subscription on top, plus about €20 a month if you want the unlimited inbox. It’s still cheaper than lemlist, but the gap shrinks once email is involved.

lemlist is more expensive, but you get calls, SMS, WhatsApp if you add it, intent signals and a built-in lead database that Waalaxy doesn’t have. Whether that’s worth it depends entirely on whether you’ll actually use those features.

Choose Waalaxy if…

  • LinkedIn is your main channel and you don’t plan to do much cold email
  • You want to be up and running within an hour
  • You want a cheaper tool with a great AI writer
  • You’re a solo operator or small team doing LinkedIn outreach

Choose lemlist if…

  • You want real multichannel outreach: email, LinkedIn, calls and SMS
  • You want intent signals to catch people at the right moment
  • Cold email deliverability matters and you don’t want to manage warm-up separately
  • You want a built-in lead database

Final verdict

Pick Waalaxy if LinkedIn really is the only channel you care about. It’s faster to set up, cheaper to run, the AI writer is great, and the response rate indicator gives you feedback while you learn what works. You can add cold email, but you’ll need the Business plan and a separate warm-up tool, and at that point you’re stitching together tools to do what lemlist does natively.

Pick lemlist if you want real multichannel outreach, intent signals, or cold email that lands without managing warm-up separately. The setup takes longer and you’ll pay more, but you get a complete system in one place.

Both have a 30-day free trial through my links, which is more than enough to set everything up, run a full sequence and see whether it works for your business before you pay.

FAQ

Is lemlist better than Waalaxy?

For multichannel outreach, yes: lemlist runs email, LinkedIn, calls and SMS in one sequence with conditional branching, includes email warm-up and has a built-in lead database. For LinkedIn-only outreach, Waalaxy is the better pick because it’s faster to set up and cheaper.

Can Waalaxy send cold emails?

Yes, but only on the Business plan, and Waalaxy has no built-in warm-up, so you need a separate warm-up tool for your emails to land in the inbox.

Does lemlist include email warm-up?

Yes. lemwarm, lemlist’s warm-up tool, is included on paid plans. During my trial it wasn’t active, so I’d have had to pay for it separately to warm up an inbox before upgrading.

How much does lemlist really cost?

The Multichannel plan is €109 per user per month on monthly billing, or €87 billed yearly. With a domain, two mailboxes and enrichment credits, my real bill for full multichannel outreach was about €150 a month when I tested it.

Is there a free trial for lemlist and Waalaxy?

Yes. Both normally offer 14 days free, and through my links you get 30 days on either one.
